Preparation	This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells) from a mouse immunized with Phosphopeptide containing T246 of Human PRAS40 (Proline-rich AKT1 substrate 1). PRAS40 is also called Akt1S1 and p39 and is a 40-42kDa cytoplasmic phosphoprotein that lacks generally recognized structural motifs.
Formulation and Storage	The IgG fraction of culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS). Lyophilized samples are stable for 2 years from the date of receipt when stored at -70C
Specificity	This antibody recognizes human PRAS40 with phospho-T246 in direct ELISAs and WBs. It cross reacts with mouse and rat phospho-T246 in PRAS40 in WBs.
Reconstitution	Reconstitute the antibody with 500ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 200ug/ml. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20 for at least for six months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
