Antigen Description	TrpC5 is a non-voltage dependent calcium-permeable ion channel in the superfamily of transient receptor potential channels. TrpC5 protein is abundant in the nervous and cardiovascular systems and maintains intracellular Ca2+ levels by forming homotetrameric or heterotetrameric channels with TrpC4 and/or TrpC1. Upon receiving physiological and mechanical stimuli, TrpC5 induces Ca2+ influx and cell membrane depolarization.
