Antigen Description	IL-1 refers to two proteins, IL-1a and IL-1ß which are the products of distinct genes, but which are recognized by the same cell surface receptors. IL-1ß is a potent immuno-modulator which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses including the activation of B and T cells. The JK1B-2 antibody reacts with human interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß) and baboon IL-1ß. The JK1B-2 antibody does not recognize mouse IL-1ß or human IL-1a or other cytokines. The JK1B-2 antibody can neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant IL-1ß.

Storage & Handling	Reconstitute the antibody with 200 ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 0.5mg/ml. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20C for at least for six months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
