Antigen Description	GABRA2 is a type of alpha subunit which comprises two of the five subunits of the pentameric GABA-A ionotropic receptor. In response to GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) binding, the GABA-A receptor permits the passage of negatively-charged chloride ions, inhibiting action potential firing. GABRA2 is present in approximately 35% of all GABA-A receptors and is expressed primarily in the hippocampus and forebrain, where it plays a role in anxiolytic activity.

Storage & Handling	Reconstitute the antibody with 200 ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 0.5mg/ml. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20C for at least for six months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
