Physical Appearance and Stability Lyophilized Interleukin-15 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -20C. Upon reconstitution IL-15 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20C. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity The protein was lyophilized from 0.2um filtered concentrated protein solution in PBS pH 7.4. Greater than 97.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Application
Solubility It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin-15 in 0.5ml sterile PBS, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of mouse CTLL-2 was found to be < 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 2 x 106 IU/mg.
