Physical Appearance and Stability Lyophilized Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor 165 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -20C. Upon reconstitution, VEGF-165 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20C. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity from a 0.2um filtered concentrated protein solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Greater than 98.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Solubility It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-165 in 0.5ml sterile PBS, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) using a concentration range of 0.2-0.4ng/ml; also tested for inducing dose-dependent ERK1/2 phosphorylation.
