Description	HIV-1 p55 Recombinant- is a 55kDa protein derived from gag gene of an HTLV-3/LAV isolate of HIV-1. The HIV-1 p55 is glycosylated with N-linked sugars and produced using baculovirus vectors in insect cells. The full length authentic p55 gag protein forms particles within itself of approximately 23nm in size (as determined by electron particles).

Physical Appearance and Stability	Recombinant HIV -1 p55 although stable at 4°C for 3 weeks, should be stored below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity	The HIV-1 p55 gag protein solution contains 10mM Tris pH 8, 140mM NaCl and 400mM L-Arginine. Greater than 90.0% as determined by HPLC analysis & SDS-PAGE.
