Description Cystatin-C Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 129 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 14.5 kDa. The protein contains an extra His tag at N-terminus. The Cystatin-C amino acid sequence is identical to UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot entry Q6FGW9 amino acids 28¿146.The Cystatin-C is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability Store lyophilized protein at ¿20°C. Aliquot reconstituted protein to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles and store at ¿80°C for long term storage. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C.
Formulation and Purity Filtered (0.4µm) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in 20mM Tris buffer and 50mM NaCl pH-7.5. Greater than 95% as determined by SDS PAGE.
Application
Solubility Add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.
