Physical Appearance and Stability Lyophilized basic-FGF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FGFb should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity The bFGF was lyophilized from a sterile filtered solution containing 10mM sodium phosphate, 75mM sodium chloride, pH 7.5. Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Application
Solubility It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FGF-B in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity The ED50, Calculated by the dose- dependent proliferation of mouse BALB/c 3T3 cells is 0.018-0.027ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 5.6x107 units/mg.
