Physical Appearance and Stability Lyophilized Interferon-beta 1a although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IFN-Beta1a should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Biological Activity The specific activity as determined in a viral resistance assay (human "Wish" cell line and VSV virus or the monkey VERO cell line with EMCV virus) was found to be 270 x 106 IU/mg.
