Solubility It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Beta Defensin-3 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity Measured by its antimicrobial activity against E. coli. The ED50 for this effect is typically 4-20µg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 50,000-250,000units/mg.
